When someone mentions Street food many of us will conjure up images of stalls bellowing steam from pots and pans lining the pavement/sidewalk in Asia, or South America.
But on this occasion I'm referring to free street food, planted by the community for everyone to enjoy. Healthy food growing from trees lining the roads or taking their place in a public park.
If everyone in their community planted a food tree, nut tree, strawberry plant, cherry tree, pear, apple, blackberries or grape vine for example, there would be so much free food available, even enough for those in poverty, or homeless.
Healthy, naturally grown fresh fruit and nuts growing in a park or a vine up and along some railings or up a bus stop or lamppost would provide nutrition, and it would be free!
This is the power that communities have, instead of taking a walk in protest against the tyranical rules and regulations, we plant food instead. Imagine the mind f**k that would have on the authorities.
If we had enough support, the same support as there was or is, from millions of people congregating to protest at rallies, then surely there'd be enough support to completely desimate our cities with fruit and nuts and grape vines as an example.
Hyde Park in London alone, has enough space to feed a vast majority of residents.
We can't fix problems using the same people who created the problems!
